FAIRDALE FAIR September 17-18, 2010
FAIRDALE IDOL KARAOKE CONTEST
presented by the FAIRDALE ALUMNI ASSOCIATION, INC.
When: Friday, September 17th
Event Location:
Fairdale Alumni Booth -- Check in is from 7 pm to 8 pm
Show Starts: Promptly at 8:00 pm
Prize to 1st Place Winner: $100.00
Print Registration Form
Rules: - Contestants will compete in the order of registration at the Alumni booth.
- Parental consent must be completes and signed by parent or legal guardian if participant is under 18 years of age
- The $20.00 entry fee is non-refundable unless contest is cancelled.
- Contestants will sing one song of their choice from either the available list or provide a CD/cassette of their own.
- All music must be of karaoke type
Each contestant shall be judged by the following categories:
- Appearance
- Song Choice
- Stage presence
- General talent shown
- Audience reaction
Poor behavior displayed by any contestant will be cause for
disqualification
as determined by the
Fairdale Alumni Association DJ

An appreciation cookout was hosted by the Alumni for the FHS faculty & staff before the October 19 football game.
Vickie Welch, District 13 Council, joined the Alumni for the cookout and the game.

The Alumni has a new supply of Fairdale Coverlets for anyone interested in obtaining one ... they make great door prizes for class reunions as well as gifts for those who have moved away!

Vietnam Memorial Eagle Scout Project |
The Alumni sponsored Chris Thompson in his Eagle Scout project which was to landscape the Fairdale Vietnam Memorial. Other donations for this project were from local businesses and individual contributions.

Operation Brightside Naturescape |

Operation Brightside Naturescape Grants
Fairdale High School Alumni Association received funding in the amount of $1400 towards landscape materials for the beautification of the Fairdale High School Stadium. Fairdale High School Alumni Association partnered with Fairdale Athletics and Youth League to implement the project. Additionally, the long term maintenance of this site will result from a partnership among the Alumni Association, Booster Club and assistance from the Athletic Director. There were 42 applicants for Operation Brightside Naturescape Grants and Fairdale Alumni received one of only 12 grants awarded.
