Event Location: Due to increased attendance demand, The Fairdale Alumni Association, Inc. has approved the relocation of the FHS ALL CLASS REUNION FROM 1931 THRU 2010 on October 23rd to the Fern Valley Hotel & Conference Center at I-65 & Fern Valley Road.

THE 100TH (Centennial Year) ANNIVERSARY OF THE NAMING OF FAIRDALE IN 1910! We have reserved the ENTIRE Conference Center First Floor for this historic event! This includes the Derby Ballroom, Winner's Circle Room, Pleasant Colony Room, Atrium (Smoking Area) and Main Lobby, since we are anticipating a record capacity turnout!
Who's Invited???
Anyone who ever attended or taught at one of Fairdale's Schools from the 1900's Dennis Mitchell Schoolhouse built on the site of the 1800's log cabin school (before Fairdale was named) (now the Jefferson Memorial Forest Welcome Center across from Tom Wallace Lake); the Berry School at 10002 Jefferson Hill Road & Keys Ferry Road; the original Fairdale High and Consolidated School at 10618 West Manslick Road in "downtown" Fairdale, built in 1928 (located on the current site of the Annual Fairdale Fair on West Manslick Road), with the 1st Graduating Class in 1931 thru the 20th Graduating Class of 1952; the "lost years of 1952 thru 1957" when Fairdale high school students went to Southern High School); and the current Fairdale High School on Fairdale Road built in 1958 with it's 1st graduating class in 1962 (actually the 21st Fairdale Graduating class) thru the 2010 Graduating Class, which is the 52nd Graduating Class, plus the option of bringing a guest. We currently have at least one of the total of 8 graduates from the 1930's era FHS Graduating Class and her three generations of FHS graduates attending!
Entertainment: Music and Light Show is provided by Fairdale's Alan Bybee "All Star's Karaoke & DJ (Fairdale Fair 2009 & 2010), mabybee@bellsouth.net. Sorry, no karaoke, but you will be able to request your favorite song from your high school year's on the registration form. The Main Dance Floor is in the Derby Room and an additional (quieter) Dance Floor is in the Winner's Circle Room. The Pleasant Colony Room is set up for "table conversation" with ambient music only. Every hour is a Lil Abner "Sadie's Hawkin's Dance", ladies grab the guy of their choice for the dance...don't ask, don't be shy and don't deny...just grab a guy!
Food: Cold Snacks will be provided at the event. Shoney's, Fern Valley Road is offering a 10% discount to FHS Attendees from Saturday Supper thru Breakfast by mentioning "FHS Reunion"to your waiter. Additional restaurant discounts will be updated. Drinks: There will be four to five bars set up for the event. You must bring an Official ID with birthdate in order to receive an ID Bracelet for anything more than non-alcoholic drinks.
Accommodations: Fern Valley Hotel & Conference Center has set aside a block of rooms until Oct. 15, 2010 for overnight accommodations for Friday night, Oct. 22, 2010 and/or Saturday night, Oct. 23, 2010. Check in is 3:00 pm-Check out is noon. Reservations are thru Fern Valley Hotel at 1-502-964-3311 or www.fernvalleyhotel.com. 1. Single Rooms are $69.00 per night plus 15.01% tax. (Smoking rooms are available). There are single rooms available adjoining the convention floor if you want to be close to the action; Ground Floor Rooms 2181, 2183, 2185, 2187, 2189, 2191 and 2193. Other rooms are available on the upper floors. 2. Limited Availability of five 2-Room Hospitality Suites (Living Room with sofa-bed and Bedroom) for the "party after the party people" are available for $138.00 per night plus 15.01% tax. 3. Free Motorhome Parking will be available in a designated area of the parking lot.

1. Fairdale Alumni Association, Inc. Members with paid up dues for 2010 or lifetime memberships pay only $20.00 per person and receive 5 chances for the Grand Prize Drawing, whenever they pay.
2. From May 30, 2010 to July 30, 2010 (postmark), ANYONE who ever attended Fairdale at any time (graduate or not) plus guests, pay $20.00 per person and receive 4 chances for the Grand Prize Drawing.
3. From July 30, 2010 to Sept 16, 2010 (postmark), ANYONE who ever attended Fairdale at any time (graduate or not) plus guests, pay $25.00 per person and receive 3 chances for the Grand Prize Drawing.
4. Tickets purchased during the Fairdale Fair (September 17 & 18, 2010 at the Booth or by mail, ANYONE who ever attended Fairdale at any time (graduate or not) plus guests, pay $30.00 per person and receive 2 chances for the Grand Prize Drawing.
5. Tickets purchased from September 19, 2010 to October 15, 2010 (postmark) ANYONE who ever attended Fairdale at any time (graduate or not) plus guests, pay $35.00 per person and receive 1 chances for the Grand Prize Drawing. We will probably have met the Conference Center's Capacity after the Fairdale Fair and will make an announcement on the number of tickets available on September 19th.
